Been waiting to see this posted but no one has, so I will. Porstmouth & South Gallia have asked to join the SOC according to Portsmouth Daily Times. Any comments? I think it’s a good thing.
this is also posted on the football forum, just hope the SOC only takes these two and nobody else because I would hate for it to turn into another SEOAL and fall apart after a couple years…the only other school other than these two I would even consider of bringing in would be Ironton but that would be only after Portsmouth gets in first. Football wont be that hard of a problem to figure out but Basketball will be a little harder of a decision on whether or not you stay into 2 divisions or make 3…to make three you have to add in a couple other schools Like Ironton and even St. Joe…going to be interesting and if it does happen will be good some the SOC
Heard a rumor that Jackson went as an interested observer
I really didn’t see this coming. It seems like a good fit, but I can’t see the SOC stepping up to the plate after rejecting these two teams multiple times in the past.
Would like to see us compete in SOC…the travel in SEOAL makes it hard to get to 2 hour plus games on Friday nights when one has to work until 5:00pm, get home to pick up family and head out on the road.
Great idea! Lets hope it passes.
wont happen.

Why do you not think this will happen?
just know that Portsmouth has ask many times, and have never been let in.
I guess this time around, it may be closer, seeong how one vote cant keep them out ,like before.
we will see, but I just dont see it.
I will believe it when it happens.
I still have my doubts.
I would rather stay where we are, but thats just me.
Must be Friday night and Hammers in the shine again.
If it happens I will buy you dinner at the drugs store. They had some good Home Made chilly.
NO, that where you have to buy if your wrong.
I cant help it the resteraunts are better over here.
I would not be suprised if this is passed and both are let in
I hope it happens, it would be a good fit since SG plays alot of the SOC schools in football anyways
A good idea, long overdue. I don’t buy NW needs to move to the SOC II. They have the numbers. and the facilities. Putting them in the SOC II would be totally unfair to the SOC I schools. Plus, there are more sports than football.
I say let 'em both in. SOC I needs another football school and most of them have South Gallia on their schedule anyways. Half of SOC II already plays Portsmouth in football and basketball, so bring them in as well. Let’s face it, Portsmouth isn’t what they used to be due to their drop in enrollment. They now experience cyclical cycle talents like the rest of the county schools.*
