Both teams with one loss in the conference looking to break off as the leader in SOC 1. Both share common wins in Clay, but Eastern was beaten by SV and ND knocked SV off last night.
ND is once again physical and plays great defense and can score inside and outside. Eastern can shoot the ball well and came back to beat East with an impressive 34 point 4th quarter, but ND’s averaging just 36.2 points given up on defense.
I’ll take ND is a close one, defense wins it.
Eastern figured out at green they can drive to bucket and score yes I know green is not ND but when drive you can get teams in foul trouble .. they have shot around 25% from the three the last 2 games I’m hoping tonight they will drive to hoop limit threes to 10-15 a game instead of 25-30 I see this being a very low scoring game witch does not favor the eagles but I’m still taking them 49 -47 in overtime
Eastern finally getting to play at home. Should be a great game..Eagles will have to knock down shots(like always)to win as ND size will hurt them.

Notre Dame beat Eastern 54-48. Notre Dame was up 16 at one point.

Once again eastern tried to relay on shooting the three I don’t understand why they wont drive when they did they scored even against ND size Trace Creech played a great game on offense and defense and freshman Ethan Leist had great night coming off bench him and Creech lead the charge in 3 and 4 quarters they scored 21 of easterns final 26 points .. on road again Tuesday night at New Boston
Very impressed with defense Notre Dame played. Don’t know the official stats but i would guess Eastern didn’t shoot over 35 percent from the floor and 20 percent from 3. Big win for ND. Eagles have to regroup and move on to next one..still have opportunity to compete for SOC . Will be tough with games at ND and at Symmes Valley but very possible for this young Eagles team to stay in race right til the end. Got New Boston on Tuesday..go get a win and go from there.
