two other good teams that moved out would be heath and portsmith west.
Fredricktown should be solid this season.
Another top team that is no longer in the Region is Johnstown Monroe. [/color:2rf8k453]
I bet everybody is happy that Ironton didn’t fall down into the Region.

Both Ironton and Bellaire are now borderline D V. If last years numbers were in place, they both would have been D V. I think it is only a matter of a couple years until we see both of these programs in Region 19. [/color:11jasm78]

why is that?? let me guess bc no1 can beat ironton it is impossible…give me a freakin break
did i once say anything about coal grove beating ironton?? i think not!! read the post right b4 ur stupid comments..all u people do is think that u are so much better than every1 else!
… And Coal Grove last beat Ironton when?
![Question :?:]()
[/quote:2ftpn2ko]
I dont think they have even played Ironton in years. I know they havent played them anytime recently, so that concludes your post.
Not that I have a dog in this fight, cause I dont, but I think that Coal Grove and Ironton would have been tight ballgames the past 2 seasons…after watching both play the past 2 years.
givem logan they will clam up ![Laughing ]()

are you serious
I think they used to play each other, late 80s or early 90s.
CG has a shot at the Big I this year in the pre season!
There are a total of six team changes in R 19:
New to the Region: Northmor, Berne Union, Cardington-Lincoln, Mount Gilead, Manchester, Caldwell
Gone from the Region: Portsmouth West, Johnstown-Monroe, Bishop Ready, Heath, Grandview Heights, Columbus Academy
Three of the six teams gone made the playoffs in 2008: Portsmouth West, Johnstown-Monroe and Bishop Ready. Heath just missed the playoffs, and Columbus Academy is usually a powerhouse.
Of the six new teams, Caldwell made the playoffs in R 23, going 8-2. Berne Union just missed the playoffs in R 23, despite going 4-6. Cardington-Lincoln went 5-5 in R 20. Mount Gilead went 5-5 in R 20. Northmor went 3-7 in R 20. Manchester went 0-10 in R 24.
I was unfamiliar with Cardington-Lincoln, Mount Gilead, and Northmor, but all three schools are in Morrow County and play each other.
I think last year was the first year Manchester had a football team if I remember right.
Gone are the private schools and some of the traditional powerhouses. R 19 might now be a little more wide open in terms of the top 8 schools than it has been in some time.
