The United Soccer Coaches Association has announced this Fall’s High School Boys All-Great Lakes Region Honors.
Five Southeast District soccer players earned all-region honors for their 2025 seasons as presented by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
They are just one step away from All-American honors.
Nick Sylvia Sr. Forward Wheelersburg High School
This fall Nick scored 50 goals for the Regional Champion Pirates, bringing his career total to 171 goals - which ranks third-most in a career in OHSAA history. He helped to lead the Pirates to their 4th consecutive Southern Ohio Conference Division II Title, their 4th consecutive Southeast District Title, and this season’s Ohio Division IV Region 13 Title. He earned First Team All-Southern Ohio Conference Division II Honor and was the Southern Ohio Conference Division II Co-Player of the Year - along with South Webster’s Hunter Barnard, First Team All-Southeast District Honor and was the Southeast District Division IV Player of the Year, and the Ohio Division IV Player of the Year. He ends his Wheelersburg soccer career as the Pirates most goals scored in a season record holder with 59 goals, and as their all-time career goal scorer with 171 career goals; an All-Ohio Honor for the third time and a United Soccer Coaches Association Fall High School Boys All-Great Lakes Region Honor for a second time.
Hunter Barnard Sr. Forward South Webster High School
Hunter scored a school-record 49 goals this fall for the Jeeps, breaking his own single season record of 45 goals that he set last fall season. Bringing his career total to 125 goals - which ranks him in the Top 25 in OHSAA history in most goals scored in a career. He helped lead the Jeeps to their third consecutive Southeast District Title. He earned First Team All-Southern Ohio Conference Division II Honor and was the Southern Ohio Conference Division II Co-Player of the Year - along with Wheelersburg’s Nick Sylvia, a First Team All-Southeast District Honor and was the Southeast District Division 5 Player of the Year. He ends his South Webster soccer career as the Jeeps most goals scored in season record holder with 49 goals, and as their all-time career goal scorer with 125 career goals; an All-Ohio Honor for the second time and a United Soccer Coaches Association Fall High School Boys All-Great Lakes Region Honor.
Breyden Byrd Sr. Goalkeeper Wheelersburg High School
Breyden had 47 saves and 12 shutouts this fall season for Pirates, putting his career total to 47 shutouts which ranks third-most in a career in OHSAA history. He helped to lead the Pirates to their fourth consecutive Southern Ohio Conference Division II Title, their fourth consecutive Southeast District Title, and this season’s Division IV Region 13 Title. He earned First Team All-Southern Ohio Conference Division II honor, First Team All Southeast District honor, an All-Ohio honor for the second time, and a United Soccer Coaches Association Fall High School Boys All-Great Lakes Region Honor.
Grady Massie Sr. Midfielder Jackson High School
This fall Grady scored 9 goals and had 16 assists for the Ironmen, helping them to earn a Frontier Athletic Conference Title and a Southeast District Title. He earned First Team All- Frontier Athletic Conference honor and was the Frontier Athletic Conference Player of the Year, a First Team All-Southeast District honor, an All-Ohio Honor and a United Soccer Coaches Association Fall High School Boys All-Great Lakes Region selection.
Braden Shriner Sr. Forward Logan High School
Braden scored 37 goals for the Chieftains this fall, setting the single season record and bringing his career total to 74 goals. He earned First Team All-Ohio Capital Buckeye Conference Honor, First Team All-Southeast District Honor and was the Southeast Division 2 Player of the Year. He ends his Logan soccer career as the Chieftains most goals scored in season record holder with 37 goals, and as their all-time career goal scorer with 74 career goals, an All-Ohio Honor and a United Soccer Coaches Association Fall High School Boys All-Great Lakes Region selection.
