[color=#FF0000:7sol04s8]New Boston Glenwood will be hosting their 2nd Annual 3-on-3 Hoops Classic Saturday May 16th, 2009. Tournaments will be held in the New Boston Gymnasium starting at 9am in the morning. Age groups will be the following: 18-over, and a high school boys division 15-17. The tournament will be a double elimination tournament format. If you pre-register by May 9th cost will be $40 or it will be $50 the day of the tournament. Each team is required to have four players. Rules and regulations will be available on New Boston’s school website at http://www.newboston.k12.oh.us. You will also be able to print off the registration forms from this website. Championship trophies will be awarded to each winning team member. All proceeds will benefit the girls basketball program. Last year there were 25 total teams with more divisions. In the 18 and up division there were 12 teams and in the high school division there were 8 teams.
This year’s tourney should be even better this year…last year was a great tournament, very competetive games. Plus it’s for a good cause…very fun to play in and watch. Anybody who loves to play basketball should get involved…not expensive at all. And you play in one of the most unique gyms in the area…Come out and support the Lady Tigers! See ya May 16th!
Just an update on the tournament, there have been several commitments to the tournament already, especially in the 18 and up group. We are still looking for more teams in both divisions, especialy in the 14-17 year old division. You can send a registration form and check/cash to Glenwood High School, but we will be taking teams the morning of the tournament. Registration will be from 8:30-9:00am. We will look to start games at 9:30am. Come out an enjoy a day of great games. Cost is $40 per team by Friday and $50 a team on Saturday registration.
